25 Access Alternatives Access Alternatives aims to attract and recruit female and diverse candidates into the private equity industry. 17Capital is one of the first firms to sponsor this initiative. The three-year programme is designed so that by the time the participants have graduated from university they will be ready to join 17Capital as an Analyst. The programme provides young female students with a state school education, and who have recently started University, with a 1st and 2nd year internship from the sponsor organisation. This includes mentoring from the firm, coaching by an early careers coach and the opportunity to gain the CISI qualification. In 2022, the firm became a founding sponsor of a new programme in the UK called Access Alternatives. I am extremely proud that 17Capital is sponsoring such a fantastic initiative to address the challenge of attracting female and diverse candidates into the industry. I am honoured to be mentoring a first-year university student and am incredibly excited to be a part of her journey as she navigates her studies and first stepsinto a career. Isabelle Richards, Senior Associate, Investor Relations Thank you so much 17Capital for the opportunity to spend two weeks learning about the company and the private equity industry. Thanks to the Access Alternatives programme, I’ve been mentored by some brilliant, enthusiastic women including, Isabelle Richards and Roxane d’Alès, as well as many others on the team.
