26 Learning & Excellence We have been investing time into our team’s development and our 17Capital Academy has been running since October 2016. The 17Capital Academy is a programme of structured and interactive workshops open to all professionals within 17Capital. The workshops give our employees an opportunity to learn and share knowledge from each other as well as draw upon the experience from more senior members of the firm. We have run over 45 workshops since inception. Our senior leadership team benefit from our Executive and Leadership Coaching Programme. As part of our senior leaders’ development, we encourage them to undertake regular one-to-one sessions with our external executive coaches to enhance their leadership skills, increase their performance and develop their professional growth, which will in turn benefit both the team and the organisation. In 2022, we launched 17Capital’s inaugural Management Development Programme (MDP). This is a bespoke programme designed to support participants in developing a wider range of management skills and to increase flexibility and effectiveness in their roles. The cohort were also introduced to a variety of tools and frameworks aimed at supporting their development and career growth. The MDP was an invaluable and engaging experience, through which we were able to uncover our strengths and areas of development in order to improve our management skills and become better equipped managers and leaders of the future. A key benefit of the programme was connecting with colleagues across the organisation and sharing our experiences.
